Graduation Photo.

In early-summer 2006, Cliff Cheng, PhD, KI6CM, CERT 2, in his role as Neighborhood Preparedness Ambassador organized a CERT class in Palms at Pacifica Community Charter School.  The class was sponsored by the Neighborhood Emergency Radio Project www.NERP.myEweb.net, and the Palms Westside Village Neighborhood Watch. 

The class had 30 persons in it (see below). 

Dr. Cheng offers congradulations to (in green helmet and vests, back row, left to right) Kate McQueen and Michael Gat, as well as (front row, left to right) Thalia Johnson, Steven Cawelti, Esq., and Carole Yokota for graduating.  Dr. Cheng extends his congratulations to those who finished the course and graduated later.

From #10 Fwy get off at Overland going south.  Turn left/east and go 1/3 to Dunn, turn, left/north.  Go 1/2 block, on the right.  Park in church lot.

 

LA City Fire Dept. presents Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) disaster preparedness class taught by a highly experienced LA City Firefighter www.cert-LA.com  Learn about earthquake preparedness, light firefighting, triage, first aid, excavation, disaster psychology,….  The class is FREE!  Must be 18 or over.  Non-LA city residents welcome.  No obligation to join a CERT team.
