As Neighborhood Preparedness Ambassador, Cliff Cheng, PhD, KI6CM, CERT 2, organized a free CERT disaster preparedness course at Hancock Park Elementary School in late-summer 2006. While the school is called Hancock Park School, it is actually in Fairfax District; one door from the Grove at Fairfax Ave. and 3rd St.
The class was sponsored by the Neighborhood Emergency Radio Project www.NERP.myEweb.net, Mid City West Community Council www.mcwcc.org and the West of Fairfax Neighbors.
The class had 129 persons in it (see below).
