Lucy Jones, Ph.D., U.S. Geological Survey Event Canceled

Dr. Lucy Jones of the U.S. Geological Survey and her colleagues tell us that an 8.0 or so earthquake, "The Big One," on the San Andreas fault, is long overdue.  This quake will be about x25 greater than the Northridge Earthquake.  Everytime the earth shakes, the news media rush over to Cal Tech to interview Dr. Jones.  She is the country's best known seismologist.  She will come to Culver City to address the summer 2007 Culver City CERT class and the Palms-Westside Village Neighborhood Watch on August 1, 2007, Wednesday, at 7:30pm, at the Culver Veteran's Auditorium, Rotunda Room (see below for details).  All are welcomed to come to this free lecture.  Seating, however, is very limited; only 30 general public seats available.   Pre-registration is required.   If you recieved a confirmation, please print it out and bring it as your admissions ticket.
