On Jan. 7-9, 2008, Dr. Cliff Cheng organized a free homeland security class for 3# first responders and support taught by the Tom Curfs and Mike Keeley of Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX; part of Texas A&M University, a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium).  The class was called Management 310 (MGT 310) Weapons of Mass Destruction Threat and Risk Assessment.  The class was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  On day 1, the class reviewed what WMDs are and learned DHS's model of WMD threat and risk analysis.  On Day 2, the class was sent to locations to do a practice WMD threat and risk analysis using the model they learned on Day 1.  They came back from their field sites and presented their findings.
